Massillon Softball Breaks School Record
with 29th Home Run of the Year.
Last night against Mogadore the Massillon Lady Tigers broke the school home run record for the 3rd time in 8 years. The home run charge this season has been led by Sam Hackenbracht (12) and Tori Wolfe (5). In typical fashion these were the two players to tie and break the record. In the 2nd inning of the game, Tori Wolfe, hit a dinger to tie the record of 28 set by the 2016 team. In the 5th inning of the game, Sam Hackenbracht, hit a missile to left to break the record. The Lady Tigers also broke this record in 5 less games than the 2016 team. This team is not done yet and they are on current pace to break a couple team records. These records are the team batting avg. and team on base percentage in a season. They have already broke the school’s record of runs scored in a season with 206 runs scored this season.
Home runs this year:
Sam Hackenbracht – 12
Tori Wolfe – 5
Mackenzie Richards – 4
Brynn Polilli – 3
Hannah Schweier – 3
Anna Berry – 1
Kyra Woods – 1
